Flower fairies card and matching box...

So for this little project I've been playing with some brand new flower fairies 12x12's
We have 8 new designs In stock now! - check out our Facebook page to see all these new designs!

These are the two sheets I've used for this project..

The card itself is a 3 piece card, using 2 sheets of thick acetate as the front panel and the middle panel, with a grey back panel, I've scored the back panel at 1-1/2 inches and folded it round the front and stuck both of the acetate sheets inside this flap, I've also added a little bit of grey lace on top of the front acetate sheet.

Now this project is all about the cutting! We've fussy cutted away at these sheets as much as possible to get all the detail we can from them!
So on the middle panel we have one of the fairies -
I've mounted it on a wonderful embossing folder that I've inked over with memento bamboo leaves and stamped a little saying in memento London fog. Because we are sticking this on acetate I didn't want to see the messy glue bit on the back of it so I did another panel and stuck this on the back, not only does it cover the messy bit, it also gives a space to write your greeting!

A little more of the fussy cutting is on the front panel -
Moving on to the back panel of the card...
I've just used half a sheet of the all over flower paper -
Layering it on pink and green card.

So on to the envelope box

This complete project started with the desire to make an easy to construct box from a sheet of A3 card with minimal faff!
So take an a3 sheet of card and score down both landscape sides at 1/2"

Now working on the portrait sides -
score from one end at 6"
And again half inch over (6-1/2)

Now turn your card to the other end and score 2-1/2 & 3"
You will now need to remove all of the pieces marked with a blue cross, then fold up and glue the flaps to create your box!
Now it's just the task of decorating it! I added a little more lace to the inside of the opening flap and layered green and pink card with another piece of the gorgeous paper on the front. Adding a little paper strip on top of purple card and a few pearls. This brings our project for today to an end!

P.s the one bit I didn't mention.. GLITTER!! I've added lots of sparkle to my project using a glue pen and iridescent glitter... You can never have too much glitter! Lol.

This project will be coming up shortly as a lesson at both our Great Yarmouth & Lowestoft shops, please keep an eye on our Facebook page for details as they are announced
