My first design team project!

As you see my very wonderful delivery arrived a little earlier in the month packed full of goodies from the brand new ON STAGE collection from Kaisercraft!

As you can see it's a gorgeous collection to get to work with!
Great for trips to the theatre or concerts... Even the little ones school performances...
Or like my family... The dreaded karaoke at Christmas! Luckily I didn't decided to go with any of these scary Christmas karaoke photos for this project as it not fair on you ;)

So this my scrapbook page creation... It was hard to pick which sheet to start with as i just loved them all but the old school microphone just did it for me..so I selected the 'curtain' sheet from the collection, using a craft knife I then cut around the top of the microphone (starting from the left side of the dome) and down the right of it.

I've then selected encore page and cut a large rectangle off it, then matted that on plain black Centura pearl card, corner rounding both with an inverted corner rounder (available at Craftmania for £6.49)

I've then taken the bottom bar off of the tune sheet, and glued it across the page (black strip with white music notes across it). After this I've started cutting in into get 'arts' sheet... Cutting out the concert block, I have then used this to fill in my journalling, and then using pioneer black photo
corners (available at Craftmania) I've attached this piece to my page, as this is a Rhianna concert I felt the stacked speakers would fit in well, so I attached the 'tune' sheet with a craft knife to cut of the speakers separately, so I could then build them up on foam pads to fill the bottom corner.
The words on top of the speaker come from the base bar on the 'curtain' sheet, they started off black with white wording but I really wanted to bring in the red, so using a spectrum noir pen I've just coloured over the strip to make the words 'pop' a little more.

No page is complete without a couple of dies from the kaisercraft die collection so for today's project I used the doily and flourish

This die cut I've simply just glued direct to the page and rounded up the scallops for a little more texture.

I then cut out the ticket strip as one from the 'audience page' (not shown on the above screen shot of the collection) along with the superstar bar. I added the names of the to the tickets and then rounded them and folded them on each perforation line. Then added them to the page gluing them at this scored line so they raise in the middles. Leaving me with the superstar performance bar to add... I glued this and stuck it over the ticket strip, floating one of my tickets.

Going back to the 'arts' page I removed the "good music" sentiment and cut around it, then foam padded it on to the doily.

Next up it was time for a bow! Most of my projects have to have a little ribbon/bow somewhere as my lesson attendees will tell you.... No project is complete without one lol!
My only problem with this one was the sheer dark red ribbon I had was just a little too bright, so using the kasiercraft background script clear stamp and a black staz on pad I stamped all over the ribbon!
It not only added depth to the design it also darkened it down a little.
I then glued it to the page with my ever trusty glue gun.
Using the above die cut I had created from my 'backstage' sheet I wrapped this upside down around the bow, adding on a couple of pearls for added decoration.

Nearly completing the page I added a little cut out from the 'ovation' sheet  (great show)
I then corner edged it to add the little nics out of each side (punch available at Craftmania £5.49)

Then last up...  Looking back at the page I decided it still needed a little more red.. So using my inverted corner rounder I cut off the edges of the main page and glued on little squares I cut off of the 'encore' sheet

I hope you like it! I've still got lots more to do yet with the rest of the design team package so watch out over the coming days for more projects ;)

As always all of the products used today are/will be available through Craftmania
