'On stage' frame

Time for my second official design team project!
My frame started off as a flat pack, designed that the heart would hang in the middle of the frame on ribbon, with the second heart shape at the back of it... But why oh why would we follow the rules when twe can freestyle just a little ;)

First up, I painted my unfinished wooden flat pack jet black! A brave moment as I wasn't too sure how this would turn out.... And with black... There's no going back... As I completely un patiently waited for my paint to dry lol... I used the backing to my heart as a template to draw around on my 'ovation' sheet.. I then cut out and glued on to the front of the backing heart with Pva glue.

Once all of the paint work was dry I glued (using my ever trusty glue gun) the top frame to the base plinth. Then taking my 'encore' sheet I cut it down to the size of the back of the frame and glued it to it.

After battling with my never ready printer to produce my photo... I used the main heart as a template and cut out the pic and glued it to the back of the frame.

Now it's time to add in our photo and newsprint hearts!
Using my glue gun I glued the newsprint heart to the backing sheet and to the black frame, giving it a little angle! On the opposite side and slightly lower I I mirrored this with the heart picture frame.

Next up... The flowers!

Using my favourite Kaisercraft die set...
I've only used the little die on the inside.. All you need to do is cut around the inside of the circle..

Leaving a little extra base at the end of the spiral..
Once cut, find your trusty quilling tool!

Hook on at the start and spin it round until you hit the end of spiral at the large base, once there just add a little glue to the base and push down the spiralled flower. Then bend out the scalloped top to make it look a little more floral.. And hey presto flower complete!

Time for finishing touches! I've got my mits on one of the fantastic Kaisiercraft collectibles packs!
These packs are bursting with die cut thick card toppers,
The film strip one I have scored in both directions to give it a little wave and then glued it to the top of the frame, I've repeated this trick with the tickets at the base of the frame.

I've then foam padded on the 'talented' scroll, music strip and music notes, glueing the record on behind the newsprint heart, last up I've layered the microphones on with a few more foam pads...
And that's it.... A nice easy to do frame!
